Champion Community Center

For the first 13 years, Champion Basketball shared a small gym located on campus with the Christian School associated with our Gospel Light Baptist Church. As the program progressed it became tougher to schedule home games due to the size of the floor and gym. With the desire to join the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), in the Fall of 2017 the administration began looking for a new place to call home.

After a month of looking Champion Christian College began working with the local Boys and Girls Club on the possibility of renting their facility for Champion home games. Sadly, in February of 2018 the Boys and Girls club was forced to close its doors, and after months of negotiations and talks with their board of directors they voted unanimously to deed the building, which includes 2 full-size gym floors, 3 class rooms, concession stand, kitchen and 4 offices to Champion Christian College.

Since taking over the building, it has been renamed the Champion Community Center, and after school programs for kids in the area have resumed. The main gym and locker rooms were renovated in 2018, and school colors and logos were incorporated into the updates.
