Mo Capaci is entering his 4th year (2023-2024) as head coach of the Tigers, after leading the team to one of its best seasons in recent history in 2022-2023.

Year 3 (2022-2023) would prove to be the most successful season in the Mo Capaci Era for the Champion Christian College Tigers. The Tigers would finish 17-5, with a 10-3 record against NCCAA DII opponents. Capaci led the team to its 1st ever #1 Ranking, its 1st ever National Tournament Appearance, and it's highest winning percentage in school history. With AJ Williams winning SW Region Player of The Year as well as 1st Team NCCAA All American, Braylon Hawkins being awarded 1st Team All Region, and Xavier Hall awarded 3rd Team All Region, Champion would see plenty of individual recognition for a great year.

In his second season with the Tigers as head coach (2021-2022), Champion took another step forward as a team. the Tigers finished 10-4 against NCCAA DII opponents, started a school best 7-0 against NCCAA DII, and were ranked as high as 3rd nationally during the year. Capaci coached two 1st Team All Region Players that year, as well as ACCA All American Awards. Coach MO Capaci would lead Champion to a 3rd place finish in the Southwest Region. The summer of 2022 would be a big year for the future of the program, as Coach Capaci would spearhead the recruitment process of adding 17 new players to the roster.

In his first year at the helm (2020-2021), the Tigers finished 7-8 after having many games cancelled due to COVID-19. In Conference play, Champion Christian finished 6-6 while being in every game, never losing by more than 8. Coach Capaci led the team to be the best defense in the NCCAA. He coached two players receiving awards for their play, one being selected to the All Region team, and one selected as All American.

Coach Capaci is an alumnus of Champion Christian College. He graduated in 2013, with a Bachelors of Science in Professional Studies in Secondary Education. While a student at Champion, Capaci was a 4 year player for the Tigers, and is the only player in Champion History to accumulate over 1,800 points, 600 assists (school record), and 250 steals (school record). He was also named 1st Team All-American in 2012, and 2nd Team All-American in 2013. In those same years, he also was named an Academic All-American as well.

After graduating Champion, Capaci became the Boys Assistant High School Basketball Coach at Gospel Light Christian School. He assisted for 2 years before assuming the Head Coach position of the same program. He coached the Lions for a total of 7 years, winning over 100 games and led the Lions to three State Championships.

In the summer of 2020, Coach Capaci accepted the Head Coach position at Champion Christian College.
