Coach Mo Capaci enters the 2021-2022 season as Head Coach for the second straight year with the Champion Christian College Tigers. In his first year at the helm, the Tigers finished 7-8 after having many games cancelled due to COVID-19. In Conference play, Champion Christian finished 6-6 while being in every game, never losing by more than 8. Coach Capaci led the team to be the best defense in the NCCAA. He coached two players receiving awards for their play, one being selected to the All Region team, and one selected as All American.

Coach Capaci is an alumnus of Champion Christian College. He graduated in 2013, with a Bachelors of Science in Professional Studies in Secondary Education. While a student at Champion, Capaci was a 4 year player for the Tigers, and is the only player in Champion History to accumulate over 1,800 points, 600 assists (school record), and 250 steals (school record). He was also named 1st Team All-American in 2012, and 2nd Team All-American in 2013. In those same years, he also was named an Academic All-American as well. 

 

After graduating Champion, Capaci became the Boys Assistant High School Basketball Coach at Gospel Light Christian School. He assisted for 2 years before assuming the Head Coach position of the same program. He coached the Lions for a total of 7 years, and led the Lions to three 2nd place finishes in the State. 

 

In the summer of 2020, Coach Capaci accepted the Head Coach position at Champion Christian College. 

 

He is happily married to his wife Susana for going on 7 years, and has been blessed with 2 beautiful children, Alayna (6), and MJ (3).
