In his first year at the helm (2020-2021), the Tigers finished 7-8 after having many games cancelled due to COVID-19. In Conference play, Champion Christian finished 6-6 while being in every game, never losing by more than 8. Coach Capaci led the team to be the best defense in the NCCAA. He coached two players receiving awards for their play, one being selected to the All Region team, and one selected as All American.

Coach Capaci is an alumnus of Champion Christian College. He graduated in 2013, with a Bachelors of Science in Professional Studies in Secondary Education. While a student at Champion, Capaci was a 4 year player for the Tigers, and is the only player in Champion History to accumulate over 1,800 points, 600 assists (school record), and 250 steals (school record).
