Tigers Pick up First Road Win

D'Andre Butler
Muskogee, Okla.

The Tigers return from Thanksgiving Break, on Tuesday night, to pick up their first road win of the year 107-100 over Bacone College. Thanks to a hot start from beyond the three point line, 5-7 in the first 4 minutes, and forcing turnovers in and up and down first half. The Tigers went into half time up 67-50.

The second half was a different story, the Tigers cooled off shooting just 1-11 from three in the second half, while the Warriors heated up thanks to a hot shooting Joe Byrd who finished the night 6-8 from three point land, all coming after the break. Cutting the lead down to 5 with just under 5:00 remaining. Down the stretch the Tigers were led by redshirt-Sophomore D'Andre Butler, who finished with 24 points on 8-12 shooting. Closing it out on the defensive end, and at the free throw line.

The Tigers return home this Thursday to open conference play against Arlington Baptist.
