Tigers Struggle Early Vs. OCU

Oklahoma City, Okla.

In game two of the 9 game road trip against NAIA Oklahoma City University, the Champion Tigers continue to struggle to get their offense going early on in the game, falling behind 15-0 before Keyshaun Scott's layup got the team on the board. Slow starts have become a trend for the Tigers this year, and it would cause them to see a 25 point deficit early on. Thanks to Braylon Hawkins dominance inside, the Tigers went into half down 19.

In the second half, Champion shooting woes would continue, but their defensive pressure went up a notch (or 5), as the team really looked locked in on the defensive end. Champion also was able to keep better control on the ball, only turning it over 6 times in the second half. The Tigers would end up falling to the Stars 93-75, winning the second half and only losing the game by 3 after falling behind by 15 early.

Some notable performance from tonights game:

Braylon Hawkins with a massive performance, finishing with 27 points, and 17 rebounds.

AJ Williams continues to be consistent with the ball, scoring 21 points, dishing 5 assists, and pulling down 2 rebounds.

Malik Laurent had some monster put back finishes, coming off the bench ending with 8 points and 12 rebounds.
