Big Week For Champion MBB Recruiting

Hot Springs, Ark.

It was a big week for the Champion Christian College Tigers Men's Basketball team when it comes to recruiting for the 2023-2024 season. After hosting an open tryout, Champion had some future Tigers in the building. This week Champion signed 10 players for the upcoming year. We are super excited as a coaching staff to welcome these newcomers to the Family!

Brandon Brown - Brandon Brown is an incoming 6'2 freshman guard from Lisa Academy in Little Rock, AR. An Arkansas All State Nominee and All Conference player at the 3A level, Brown was selected as Defensive Player of the Year in the conference while averaging 19.5 points per game. We are excited to add his 3-and-D skill set to the team!

Toby Watkins - Toby Watkins is an incoming 6'4 freshman forward from Mena High School in Mena, AR. In his senior season, Watkins was an All-State nominee as well as an All-Star nominee, and was named 1st Team All-Conference. Watkins is familiar with Champion, playing right down the road from our next signing. We are excited to add a player with his size and fundamentals at the forward position.

Braylan Bohlman - Braylon Bohlman is an incoming 6'5 freshman guard from Acorn, AR. Braylan put up video game numbers over his 4 year career in Acorn, finishing with over 1000 points, 900 rebounds, 500 assists, and 350 blocks. Braylan is joining his brother Damian Bohlman, who will be a Sophomore for the Tigers. We are excited to add a player with his size and ability to shoot, pass, and block shots.

Traveon King - Traveon King is an incoming 6'4 guard from Camden Fairview High School in Camden, AR. He was a 4 year starter for the team, was selected to All-County, and was awarded an Arkansas Scholar Athlete Award. A team MVP 4 years in a row, we are excited to add a player of his caliber who can do it all on the court. We are pumped to have Traveon's size at the guard spot, and excited to see his development as a player.

Dylan Munson - Dylan Munson is a incoming 6'2 sophomore guard from Mountain Pine, AR. Playing at Division 2 Quincy University for a year, after being injured Dylan chose to return home and play locally. At Mountain Pine High School, Dylan was selected as 2nd Team All-Garland County. Dylan Munson is no stranger to Champion, playing his high school ball with current Tiger Josh Walpole. We are excited for the shooting ability Dylan brings to the team.

Luke Roberts - Luke Roberts is an incoming 6' sophomore guard from Woodlawn High School in Rison, AR. Luke previously committed to Champion in 2022, but after receiving a Full Ride academic scholarship from University of Arkansas Monticello he decided to go there. A year later, Luke returns to Champion, itching to play ball and pursue a ministry degree. We are excited to have Luke's knock down shooting, in addition to his incredible academic prowess and high Christian character.

Bradley Vick - Bradley Vick is an incoming 6'4 freshman forward from Glenwood, AR. Bradley has taken some time off from basketball, but is ready to get back to work for Champion. Coming to the tryout, Bradley impressed the coaches with his athletic ability, never seeming to get tired, as well as his passing and finishing at the basket. We are excited for his spirit and athletic prowess being part of the team in 2023-2024.

Kason Williams - Kason Williams is an incoming 5'9 freshman guard from Whitesboro High School in Whitesboro, TX. Kason garnered a lot of awards during his high school career, being selected as 1st Team All Texomaland, 2x 1st Team All District, and TABC All Region Team. Kason comes to Champion with a good knowledge of the school, playing for Women's head coach Deanthony Ellison for AAU travel ball. We are excited to add Kason's ability to make plays and score the ball at all 3 levels.
