The Best Rebounder in the NCCAA: Kamryn Gentry

Hot Springs, Ark.

This season, Lady Tiger Kamryn Gentry has undeniably put in the dirty work on both ends of the court. Gentry leads her team and the NCCAA averaging 19.2 rebounds per game. Besides 3 out of the 21 regular season games, Kamryn has had a double-double of rebounds and points with additions of assists, blocks and steals as well. Even though Gentry did not achieve a double-double every game this season she was extremely close.

In the away games against Chaminade University, Arkansas Baptist College and Randall University, Gentry still put her best foot forward for her team even though the Tigers lost to ABC and Kamryn didn’t get her double-double in those 3 games: against CU Gentry had 17 rebs, 9pts, 1 blk, 2 asst, and 1 stl (4-10 FG, 1-2 FT), against ABC 18 rebs, 9 pts, 1 blk, 1 asst, and 1 stl (4-7 FG, 1-2 FT) and against RU 19 rebs, 8 pts, 2 blk and 2 asst (3-5 FG and 2-2 FT).

Outside of having 18 games of doubles-doubles, Kamryn Gentry has also attained her personal game high and NCCAA Divisions I and II of men’s and women’s basketball game highs of 32 rebounds in a game this season. In Champion’s history of both men’s and women’s basketball, she has set the new record for rebounds in a game as well. In the 90-46 win over Southwestern Adventist University, Gentry finished that game with a double-double: 17 points and 32 rebounds with 2 assists, 3 blocks and 1 steal.
