Timothy Gillespie enters the 2023-2024 season as the Head Coach of the Lady Tigers Volleyball. Coach Gillespie may be new to the Lady Tigers, however, he isn’t new to coaching. He has 9 years of dedicated coaching experience in many different sports. Tim is an alumnus of Champion Christian College, where he was a four year athlete and graduated in 2014. Tim still holds the record for most games started in Champion history with 141 starts over four years. He became the Head Coach of the Gospel Light Lions JV Basketball team in 2015, and the Assistant Head Coach of the Varsity boys basketball team. After several years of coaching basketball, he decided to challenge himself to grow and expand his knowledge about volleyball. He became the Assistant Head Coach of the Lady Lions Volleyball team in 2019. After only one year of being the Assistant, he took the position of Head Coach. In his first three years of head coaching volleyball at the highschool level, he led the Gospel Light Lions team to state runner-up, followed by back-to-back state championships. In the last two seasons, his Lions volleyball team amassed a record of 50-11. Tim is naturally passionate about helping athletes work toward their full potential. He is excited to be a part of Champion Athletics and looks forward to growing the Volleyball program through player skill and character development as well as community involvement with each new season.

Tim has been married to his high school sweetheart, Diana, since 2015, and together they have two wonderful children, Liam and Zeke.
